Greenhead Park is a large family park with many attractions and people, the basketball court features a multi-purpose system which doubles up as a football court, which in affect makes the court very long and not ideal for full court basketball games. As a half court is where the park takes advantage with four courts you can be sure to either find a free hoop to play on or rotate into the many pickup games which take place constantly throughout the day. With the central location of the park you will always find someone or teams to play against with the local university and town centre being very close by the competition can vary from basic to high quality.
The surface of the court is newly laid concrete with visible court markings / lines, all the hoops have nets and are slightly close to the fence which runs behind so caution is required when driving hard to the basket. There are plenty of shops nearby including the on park shop which also provides toilet facilities along with ample amount of car parking around the park itself.
With the court being central you will always find players to participate against, with peak times between 2-5 weekdays and 3-6 weekends.
